COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Deputies with the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office have released several surveillance images following an armed robbery that left a gas station clerk injured Wednesday evening. Investigators say the robbery happened at the Marathon gas station at 2091 S. Sprinkle Road in Comstock Township around 8:40 p.m.
Two suspects entered the gas station and jumped the counter. One of the suspects attacked the clerk with a “cutting instrument” while the other stole money from the cash register.
Deputies say the suspects then ran from the store, jumping over a fence into a storage business next door, then over another fence into an awaiting vehicle and took off east.
The clerk who was assaulted was taken to a local hospital. The clerk’s condition was not immediately disclosed.
Deputies say the suspect vehicle had dropped off the two suspects in front of the gas station at one point before circling around the building.
Investigators say the suspect vehicle is a Chevy Impala, either light gold or tan in color. The car didn’t have a visible license plate on it.

- Gray Hoodie
- Mask
- Blue Rubber Gloves
- White Sweat Pants with the name ‘SAOBE’ on the leg
- Black Nike Shoes
Suspect 2:
- Dark Colored Jacket with red and white trim and a symbol on the left pocket area
- Mask
- Blue Rubber Gloves
- Black Nike Sweat Pants
- White with Black Trim Shoes
